Everyone tells you to “plan the roster earlier.”
We build the system
that fills the gaps.
Sunday night, someone calls in sick, and you spend two hours texting people who might be free. We build the systems that offer the shift to the right people in the right order, approve swaps by your rules and tell everyone once. The first one is on us.
- Gaps covered in minutes
- Inside your rostering tool
Gaps
offered out
A dropped shift goes to qualified, available, under-hours staff first. First yes wins and the roster updates itself.
Swaps
approved by rule
Same skill, no overtime breach, minimum rest kept. If it passes, it’s approved. If it doesn’t, a manager sees why.
Everyone
told once
The person who got it, the people who didn’t, and the manager. No group chat, no “is this still going?”.
Rostering is
a second job.
- “I run a clinic. I also run a group chat that never sleeps.”
- “Two people swapped and nobody told me, so we were double-staffed at ten and empty at two.”
- “The rostering app is fine. Filling the holes in it is still me.”
The software stores the roster. It doesn’t negotiate it. That part still lands on one person, usually at night.
Rules you already have,
applied automatically.
You already know who can cover what, who’s close to overtime, who asked for more hours and who’s not to be rostered with whom. It’s just in your head, so every gap becomes a decision you have to make personally.
We write those rules down once, wire them into the rostering tool you already pay for, and let the system make the easy calls. You only see the hard ones.
Before you ask.
Will staff have to download something?
No. Offers and confirmations go by text or the app they already use. Replying “yes” is the whole interface.
What about award rules and overtime?
Those are the rules we encode. A swap that would breach rest or hours limits doesn’t get auto-approved. It gets sent to a person with the reason attached.
We use a rostering platform already.
Good, keep it. We build around it, reading and writing to the roster you already maintain. Nothing to migrate.
Stop spending Sunday
on the roster.
Tell us how a gap gets filled today, texts and all, and we’ll build the system that does it. The first one is free, and most are live in about two weeks.
